Transforming Main Street: A path to safety, livability, and economic opportunity in Stroudsburg

Stroudsburg Borough is working on a project to Transform Main Street, to improve safety, livability and economic opportunities for people who live, work, and visit Stroudsburg. In June of 2022, residents and stakeholders came together to envision a future for Main Street that serves the needs of people who walk, bike, drive, and use public transportation. Stroudsburg Borough is advancing this vision for Main Street by applying to the U.S. Department of Transportation’s competitive grant program Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity Rebuilding (RAISE).  If awarded, the grant program would provide 15.8 million in project funding to bring comprehensive safety and place making design strategies to Main Street.
